With the new timesheets you cannot only export time entries in PDF or CSV format, but also in Excel. Additionally, you can now print out your reports directly from within the app.

🖨 Print reports or export to PDF

To print a report go to Export > Print. A pop-up will appear where you can customize the following settings:

  • File name: Enter a name for the exported file.
  • Paper size: Choose the paper size that better suits your needs.
  • Orientation: Choose between landscape and portrait layout.
  • Title: Enter a title describing your report.
  • Logo: Enter a public URL where we can get your company logo.
  • Footer: Choose whether hourly rates and total hours should be included in the report footer.

Once you're ready editing your preferences click on the Print button to print your report. To get a copy of it in PDF format, click on Download. The exported report will be saved in your browser's default Downloads folder.

Export reports to CSV

If you’d like to further edit the timesheet data with another application you can export timesheets in CSV format.

CSV is a simple file format that’s widely used in the industry. You can import one of our CSV timesheet files directly into Google Sheets, Numbers and many other business apps.

To export a timesheet in CSV format go to Export > CSV and customize the following settings:

  • Visible rows: If selected, only the rows you see on the screen will be exported.
  • Entire data set: If selected, all time entries for the selected time period will be exported, without applying any filters, groups, etc. currently set in your report.
  • Column separator: Choose the character used to separate columns in the CSV file. Comma (,) is the default option. If you’re a mac user and want to edit the CSV file with Numbers, then you should choose Semicolon (;). TAB is often used by Linux users.

When you're ready, click on Download CSV to save the CSV file in your computer.

Export reports to Excel

While CSV files usually play nice with Excel it's often more convenient to export your reports directly in Excel format. Here's how to to so:

  1. Click on Export.
  2. Select Excel.
  3. Customize your settings.
  • Visible rows: If selected, only the rows you see on the screen will be exported.
  • Entire data set: If selected, all time entries for the selected time period will be exported, without applying any filters, groups, etc. currently set in your report.

4. Click on Download XLS. The file will be saved in your browser's default Downloads folder.
