This article explains all the possible ways of deleting time entries in TrackingTime and how to recover them, in case of accidental deletes.

Delete from Hours

This is how to delete a time entry, from the Hours section, of your TrackingTime account.

How to delete a time entry from Hours:

  1. Go to the Hours section.

  2. Click on a Time entry to open it.

  3. Click on the Bin icon and then on Delete to confirm.

💡Use shortcuts to select multiple time entries at once, and edit/delete them in batch.

Delete from Projects

This is how to delete a time entry, from the Projects section, of your TrackingTime account.

How to delete a time entry from Projects:

  1. Go to the Projects section.

  2. Choose a project and click on a task.

  3. On the side pane, switch to the Hours view

  4. Open a time entry.

  5. Click on the Bin and then on Delete to confirm.

Delete from Timesheets

This is how to delete a time entry, from a Timesheets report.

How to delete a time entry from Timesheets:

  1. Go to Reports>Timesheets.

  2. Click on a Timesheet line to open the time entry.

  3. From the side pane, click on the Bin and then on Delete to confirm.

Delete time entries in batch from Timesheets

This is how to delete multiple time entries at once, from a Timesheets report.

How to delete time entries in batch:

  1. Go to Reports>Timesheets.

  2. Click on the box next to a Timesheet line to select the time entry.

  3. Select as many as needed.

  4. On the blue bar, select the Bin icon to delete them at once.

Delete time entries from AutoTrack

This is how to remove a time entry from the Activity tab, on the AutoTrack section.

How to delete time entries from AutoTrack logged activity:

  1. Go to the Activity tab.

  2. Scroll until you locate the time entry you'd like to delete.

  3. Click on the entry to open it.

  4. Click on the Bin icon at the bottom left corner of the time entry to delete it.

Delete recurring time entries

This is how to delete a recurring time entry.

How to delete a recurring time entry:

  1. Go to the Hours or Project section.

  2. Select a time entry.

  3. Click on the Bin icon.

  4. You'll have the option to: only delete the selected entry, the selected and all future recurring entries or current, past and future entries.

  5. Click on Delete to confirm.

Recover deleted time entries

Roles: Admin | Free Feature

If a time entry is accidentally deleted from your workspace, you can easily recover all its data, by restoring it from your Trash folder.

How to recover a deleted time entry:

  1. Go to the upper corner menu and select "Settings".

  2. Choose "Trash" from the left menu.

  3. Select Deleted time entries from the options.

  4. Click on "Restore" and the time entry will be recovered.
