Here's how you can make the TrackingTime Chrome Extension work with a self-hosted version of Jira.

How to integrate with Jira

  1. If you haven't already, download the TrackingTime Button extension for browsers. It's available in Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge and Firefox.

  2. Once installed, please click on the extension button in Chrome's toolbar to log in with your TrackingTime account (the email and password you used to signup for TrackingTime).

  3. At the bottom right of the extension, click on the settings button. In your settings, navigate to "Custom Domains" write your domain without the http:// and select jira.com rule and click "add domain".

💡 This is a one-way sync, so you will be able to see the info that you track from Jira on your TrackingTime, but not the other way around (you won't see the info that you track from TrackingTime on your Jira account). However, if you are looking to integrate the other way, it may be achieved with Zapier, which is an automation tool that can integrate apps.

The Button Extension and Zapier are not compatible, so please avoid using both of them at the same time.
